When Issy Randall is laid off from her job, she takes her severance pay and opens a Cupcake Cafe that will display all the wonderful recipes she’s inherited from her grandfather. It’s not an easy task for Issy who must immediately learn how to budget, plan, task and manage a business all on her own. Luckily, she brings on Pearl who helps get the cafe off the ground. Together, they create a cozy corner in an eclectic town that offers treats and coffee selections.

Issy, Austin, Pearl, Helena and even Caroline are a great blend of characters that come together and bring the story to life. There are happy moments, sad events and serious events that keep the story flowing at a steady pace.
